'Visa required to visit Tirumala'

Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao on Saturday asserted that Telanganites might require visas to visit Tirumala for seeking the blessings of Lord Venkateswara in future. He made these remarks after facing the ire of Samaikyandhra agitators in the hill shrine.

VH explained the hardships he has undergone Today when he went for the darshan of Lord Balaji due to the hostile attitude of the Seemandhra protesters. "When the TDP activists have been offering roses in Gandhian style, so goons who might have been hired by YSR Congress party have hurled stones and footwear at me," he told, asking the Telangana people to observe retrain and reiterated Seemandhra people in Hyderabad would be safe & secure.

The senior Congressman appealed to the Seemandhra leaders not to object the formation of Telangana state as the people of his region have been fighting for it from six decades. He went on to say let's get separated like brothers and remain unites as Telugus.

Earlier in the day, VH provoked the Seemandhra people by commenting Andhra and Telangana employees in Hyderabad have to leave their jobs after the creation of new state. Enraged with these remarks, Agitators attacked the senior leader in their own style.
