The state government invoked GO 177 that states ‘No Work – No Pay’. The government said that there was no scope for any agitation in any of the offices and no permission could be given to such protests.
The government in a circular said that the order would come into immediate effect in the Secretariat, Collectorates and all the government offices. As per GO 177, only those who perform their duties would beeligible for salaries. The government also made it clear that action would be taken against those who come to the offices, sign in registers and abstain from work.
