Case booked against V Hanumantha Rao

A case has been booked against Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao on Sunday for his alleged provocative remarks regarding the Seemandhra employees working in Hyderabad.

Students JAC of SV University lodged a complaint in Three-Tow police station in Visakhapatnam accusing VH of making provocative comments which hurt the sentiments of the Seemandhra employees and demanded his arrest.

On Saturday, V Hanumantha Rao stated that government employees from Seemandhra working in Hyderabad have to quit their jobs after the creation of new state. Following these remarks, the MP's convoy has been attacked with stones and footwear at Alipiri. 

Tirupati police have arrested three persons in connection with the attack on VH's convoy. All of them were produced in court and sent to judicial remand till August 20th.
